Dan Gilyeat with Meredith Iler, Helping-a-Hero Banquet at Lil Toledo in Chanute KS

Dan Gilyeat spent some quality time recently with his family, Todd Tiahrt, Meredith Iler with the Helping-a-Hero Foundation and some real heroes who humbled everyone in attendance at the Helping-a-Hero Banquet at Lil Toledo in Chanute KS. The banquet honors Wounded Warriors every year. Dan was one of those honorees in the past.

This years recipients were double amputees. The program at Lil Toledo strives to help our wounded Heroes find a sense of normalcy after their life changing sacrifices for our Country. They hunt and fish and generally relax. Dan was a recipient in the recent past.

Helping-a-Hero Foundation is the group that was responsible for Dan receiving the Extreme Home Makeover form ABC. They build houses for Wounded Warriors.
